Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama is an up-and-coming French professional basketball player. He currently plays for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A, France’s highest tier of basketball competition. Wembanyama began his professional career with Nanterre 92 in 2019 at a young age of 15, making him the second-youngest player ever to appear in the EuroCup.

On 23 September 2020, Wembanyama made his LNB Pro A debut, grabbing one rebound in four minutes against JL Bourg. In May 2021, he had a season-high 14 points and 10 rebounds in a 99–87 win over Orléans Loiret. His performance over the season earned him Best Young Player of the 2020–21 season award from LNB Pro A. After two successful seasons with Nanterre 92, Wembanyama opted to move to ASVEL on 29 June 2021 and signed a three-year contract.

He’s expected to be the #1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft so his overseas rookie cards are already highly sought after. There are a few obscure cards from Next Generation and Top Deck sets but none of the typical Draft Pick cards we see for American prospects and college players.
